Mansfield Feed Mill has been a fixture in Mansfield, Texas since the 1950’s. Mert Cox started working at the Mill in the 1960’s, buying into the co-op. Eventually, Mert bought out the other owners and put his family to work at the store. “My dad’s philosophy was ‘If you aren’t big enough to pick up a stack of feed, you’re big enough to push a broom,'” said Reggie Cox, current owner of Mansfield Feed Mill.
The family originally milled feed on-site for the cattle on local farms until many of the local farms were bought for the creation of Joe Pool 
Lake. With less demand, the store gradually increased their purchases of milled feed from Purina in Forth Worth and closed down the mill.
Nowadays, as you walk into the front door of Mansfield Feed Mill, Mo the cockatoo squawks a greeting to customers. Mansfield Feed has what you need for your pet supplies, or livestock feed needs.
