Corn Gluten Pre- Emergent

Corn Gluten Meal

Mid- February is the time to start applying a pre-emergent to your yard. Prepare your yard with Natural Corn Gluten this year.

Nature’s Guide Corn Gluten Spreadable Granules interfere with the germination of seeds. Put it down early in the Spring (depending on the weather, between February 15 and March 15 in the Fort Worth area) and in the Fall (again depending on the weather, September 15 through October 15) and it’ll help keep the weeds out.

Corn Gluten is a weed suppressor as well as a plant food. This non-toxic product is a great alternative to chemical-based weed prevention products for weed control in yards, driveways and gardens. The spreadable version of the product is not as effective as a weed preventer, but it makes great all-nitrogen fertilizer.

Apply at a rate of 20 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. Water in thoroughly then allow soil to dry out for several days before resuming your normal watering schedule. You’ll see better results each year that you use it!

Nature’s Guide Corn gluten is a by-product of corn processing. A completely natural residual product with 9% nitrogen content. Nature’s Guide Corn Gluten has no effect on post emergent weeds or perennial weeds.

Keep your lawn, garden and driveway weed free this year! Come by Mansfield Feed Mill to pick up a bag.
